Paul Walters runs the London Marathon

Report from Wednesday 5th November 2008

Starting again

This year has been a none event so far with my running, having posted a slow marathon time, dropping out of the Dorking 10 through fatigue, and the high spots have definately been the Great Runs, although these were run very slowly.

Having run the Great South Run and the Great North Run with Sarah during October and feeling rather unfit, I'm now starting to plough in the training, with the first target being the Wokingham Half. I'd sorely love to get under 1 hour 30 minutes again at Wokingham. I can tell that I am getting fitter, and I'm also starting to diet as I'm a way over 10 stones at the moment. The Wokingham Half in on 8th Feb I think.

I should be in the marathon this year, whether I take up a Reigate Priory AC club place or a charity place from the Arthritis Research Campaign, but I'll be collecting for the ARC whatever.
