Paul Walters runs the London Marathon

Report from Sunday 21st June 2009

A Final Message

Thanks to all of my sponsors, I have managed to collect £1,500 this year for the Arthritis Research Campaign.

This makes a total collection of £16,787 during the last ten years.

I'm currently nursing one or two niggles - a problem with my left knee being the main thing. However, I don't think I'm that unfit really, and even in the week after the marathon I ran the YMCA 5 starting in Reigate's Priory Park in a time faster than ever before. Sarah and I should both be talking part in the Great North and South Runs in September and October.

I've put an entry in for next year's marathon, just so I can get my ten medals, should I obtain a place in the ballot.
