Paul Walters runs the London Marathon |
Report from Sunday 22nd May 2005
Final report
I made the usual mistake of trying to run in the week after the marathon. I have had niggley knees since the big race. I ran 10 miles this morning, and my left knee is a little painful now. I hope that this problem will subside for the Worthing 10K in 2 weeks. Since the marathon I have run the YMCA 5, where I obtained a PB over the distance, and I ran a 10K last weekend - the Heatherley 6 'n' 10. I was in the winning 3 man team for the race, which was nice. My final total of monies given to the Arthritis Research Campaign totals £1,800 before gift aid, which is a total I'm very pleased with. I'm now hoping to improve my fitness and speed, to obtain a PB over the 10K and half marathon distances this year. Best wishes, Paul. |
