Paul Walters runs the London Marathon

Report from Monday 24th July 2006

Starting again

I have started my collection towards the Arthritis Research Campaign already (assuming that they wish me to run for them), and have so far collected over £400, which I managed to collect by selling some possessions, and doing some jobs for people.

I'm afraid that I'm starting from being rather unfit this year. I ran my 10K personal best pretty well exactly one year ago. I ran the Elmbridge 10K yesterday, and finished in a time of 44 minutes and 36 seconds, almost 6 minutes off my best time of a year ago. Ran the Elmore 7 a week or so back in a time of 50:59.

In a month I hope to be fitter, faster and less fat! I want to take a half a stone of weight off. That should help!
